From Watch Concept to Market.
Manufacturing

Watch quality control — inspection against a written specification, not vibes.

Quality is a document before it is a process. We test what the spec says we'll test, sample against the AQL agreed with the customer, and record the results.

Inspection stages

Where we look, and what we look for.

  1. Stage 01
    Incoming component inspection

Movements, dials, hands, cases, crystals and straps checked against the specification before assembly.

  2. Stage 02
    Movement checking

Function, timekeeping, hand alignment and date-change verified per movement family.

  3. Stage 03
    Dial & hand alignment

Visual and mechanical checks against the master sample.

  4. Stage 04
    Timekeeping tests

Duration testing against the movement's published accuracy tolerance.

  5. Stage 05
    Crown & function

Winding, setting and date-change function on a defined sample.

  6. Stage 06
    Strap & buckle attachment

Lug pins, spring bars and buckle mechanisms load-checked.

  7. Stage 07
    Plating appearance

Colour, coverage and finish checked in defined light conditions.

  8. Stage 08
    Case-back & sealing

Correct engraving, gasket seating and case-back fit.

  9. Stage 09
    Water resistance

Tested per spec where the product is rated for water resistance.

  10. Stage 10
    Battery checks

Voltage and function checks before dispatch on quartz movements.

  11. Stage 11
    Packaging QC

Correct box, insert, manual, warranty, hang tag and barcode per SKU.

  12. Stage 12
    Pre-shipment inspection

Statistical sample or 100% inspection depending on programme and customer requirement.

Test scope depends on the programme and the written specification. We do not claim a universal test standard — the value is in agreeing what will be checked, and recording it.

After-sales

Warranty and returns designed with the product.

Warranty terms, battery policy, strap policy and claim workflow are scoped into the programme from the start — so the customer experience after delivery matches the product experience before it.

FAQ

Quality control — common questions.

Do you do 100% inspection or sampling?+

Both, depending on the programme. High-value or gifting programmes usually run 100% inspection on assembled units; large-volume marketplace programmes typically use an agreed AQL sample.

Can our team join a pre-shipment inspection?+

Yes — customer inspections are welcomed and increasingly requested by brands as they scale.

What happens when a batch fails inspection?+

The batch is held and the failure mode is recorded. Depending on severity we rework, replace or renegotiate the delivery plan with the customer.
